From Our Home to Yours

This month has been an eventful one at Worth a Haven Foundation! With national elections taking place, the community experienced a brief pause in connectivity, with Wi-Fi being unavailable for nearly a week. Schools have also been on holiday, giving our children some unexpected free time - but they certainly didn’t let it go to waste.

Our orphans have been making the most of these days off, spending time together, sharing stories, and deepening their friendships. It’s been heartwarming to see them reading with enthusiasm, discovering new words, and expressing themselves more confidently each day. The joy and curiosity in their eyes are truly inspiring.

We were also delighted to welcome two volunteers from the UK this month. They’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, helping us streamline operations and improve our systems so we can better serve our children and the community.

Lastly, we have been fundraising for several critical projects at our school and orphanage. The safety and well-being of the girls remain our top priority. Our school urgently needs protection from external risks, and the dormitories require significant improvements to prevent rainfall damage and ensure a secure environment.

Specifically, we need to:

• Build a secure fence around the campus

• Complete the dormitory toilets

• Construct a veranda to enhance safety

• Install electricity in the dormitories
